David G. Roebuck , Ph.D.,

directs the Hal Bernard Dixon Jr. Pentecostal Research Center. He is an assistant professor of religion at Lee University and an adjunct faculty member of the Church of God Theological Seminary.

Dr. Roebuck earned his Ph.D. in Religion at Vanderbilt University. His major was the history of Christianity, and his dissertation was "Limiting Liberty: The Church of God and Women Ministers, 1886-1996." His educational experience also includes a B.A. in Christian education from West Coast Christian College (1981), a M.Div. from the Church of God Theological Seminary (1984), and a M.A. from Vanderbilt University (1989).

Dr. Roebuck's areas of research interest include the Holiness, Pentecostal and Church of God movements movements as well as the role of women in ministry.

Dr. Roebuck is married to Kim and they have two children, William and Beth.
